Beast was quite distraught, oh well
For one, he was a “beast” now
On top of all that he had to find true love
What even is “true”? Seriously, how?
Beast had not one living parent
People he knew were furniture now
Besides, he was ever obeyed only
Fed, served, curtsied, bowed
Beast dragged himself across the castle
Felt compelled to investigate now
Set foot for the first time in his massive library
“Please illuminate, Lumiere, somehow”
Beast read books upon books on love
Definition of “true” was inconsistent now
A fool’s errand, he declared this
“I’ll end my misery”, he then vowed
Beast went up to his damned rose
Touched that last petal, his head bowed
Enchantress appeared and bellowed at the beast
“The hell you think you’re doing now?”
“Let me get this straight”, the beast began
“You come to stop me, today? Oh wow!”
“You cursed an underage child for vanity”
“How was that fair? You absolute cow!”
Beast continued, “My servants had families”
He said his piece with a raised brow
“You have no power left to abuse on us”
“Kindly piss off, if you’d please, love”
“When you put it that way, well, I suppose”
Enchantress wondered, out loud
“Maybe you’re right, I was a bit hasty”
“Shall I undo the spell, dove?”
“And what, give me an identity crisis?”
“Thanks, but no thanks, please go now”
Enchantress left, quite distraught
Beast hit the floor, turned man now
