Benediction

Wearisome
I open my eyes
Promiseless girl
Unfitted and abound
“A day”, I seethe
The world fluctuates
Every residual warmth
Absconding
Decluttering for an overture
And I walk
For my dime

Windswept
You run up to me
Scattered raindrops
Unbound hair
“This rain”, you grin
My heart detonates
Every individual atom
Vaporizing
Coalescing back to water
And it rains
For your smile

Wanderous
I let you in
Counted blessings
Ciphers boxed
“Unlock”, you bid
My body resonates
Every unstrung string
Ascending
Quivering secret chords
And you love
In our exile

Worshipped
You grant me leave
Domesticated wildling
Foibles homed
“This cold”, I pause
Your faith coagulates
Every inch of skin
Consecrating
Absorbing your heat
And I pray
You stay mine
